Glasgow-based customer loyalty app Swipii has made two senior hires as it embarks on an ambitious year of growth.

Dave Senior has taken on the newly created role of Operations Director, where he will work with the executive team to shape the company strategy and build a world-class team and product. He will be responsible for ensuring Swipii has the tools and processes in place to help it reach its vision of becoming the largest consumer loyalty programme.

Dave brings over 20 years of product delivery experience. He joins after six years at Skyscanner where, as Senior Operations Manager, he was instrumental in delivering its highly scalable AWS platform, and in ensuring teams had the data and processes they need to enable fast and effective decision making.

Prior to Skyscanner, he spent time at Standard Life and Agilent Technologies where he worked across key software and project delivery. He brings a passion for agile and lean working practices and in building autonomous impactful teams.

Andy McCready has joined to run Swipii’s high growth engineering team as Lead Engineer.  Andy has responsibility for keeping Swipii at the forefront of technical innovation and will also help shape the overall direction in which the company takes its product as it grows.

Andy also joins from Skyscanner where he brings a wealth of experience in personalisation and customer engagement technology.

Chitresh Sharma, CEO and co-founder of Swipii comments: “I’m really excited to welcome Dave and Andy to the team. They both demonstrate that we are continuing to attract the highest calibre talent to the team and that is going to be essential as we transition from a start-up to a scale-up business.

“They both share our passion to create THE consumer loyalty scheme for local businesses and I’m looking forward to seeing the impact we can have as a team in a year which is going to be pivotal for our growth.”
