GRANT MCGREGOR, a multi award-winning IT support firm based in Edinburgh and Dundee, and serving all of Scotland, named one of the 50 Best Managed IT Companies in the UK. Marking the second year they have won this award, and again as the only Scottish winner, it follows similar prestigious wins over the last 12 months.

Grant McGregor’s work is primarily about supporting people. Their ethos is very much centred on user experience rather than the machine. From the initial Covid response to moves back into the office and the adoption of the hybrid workplace, this philosophy has been tested. They supported people and businesses across Scotland to get the most out of their technology; ensured companies kept running; and helped keep friends and colleagues in contact with each other – all while working at pace.

Run by TechnoPlanet, the 50 Best Managed IT Companies in the UK award recognises best practices that are used to govern an IT business. Using a powerful Business Intelligence AI algorithm, which continually learns from every assessment it undertakes and built using the knowledge of over 30 specialist IT business coaches. This system grades each business on 12 key areas, including Leadership and Management, Customer Satisfaction, and Business Vision and Strategy.

After attending the virtual award ceremony last week, Jon Towers, Director at Grant McGregor, said “To win this award again is a great privilege. To mark the end of the year in this way is just superb. This award speaks to the hard work and determination of everyone here at Grant McGregor, and I dedicate it to each of their efforts.

“We all know how difficult the last two years have been. For us, not only have we adjusted to the new reality ourselves, but we’ve also been at the coalface supporting our customers to adapt to the challenges presented by new ways of working.

“Our key goal is to humanise the experience of interacting with technology in the workplace. By looking at the management, principles and beliefs of an IT company, this award recognises this effort and shows we’re on the right path.”

Earlier this year, Channel Futures also named Grant McGregor on their MSP501 list. This marked them out as one of the top 501 Managed Service Providers in the world (134th worldwide, 13th in the UK and 1st in Scotland).
