Scotland’s deeptech sector is celebrating a significant milestone with the graduation of fifteen pioneering companies from the Infinity G accelerator programme. Over thirteen weeks, these companies have mastered a wide range of skills, from AI and quantum computing to biotechnology, marking a defining moment in Scotland’s tech evolution.

The Infinity G programme, delivered in collaboration with the University of Glasgow and the Smart Things Accelerator Centre based at Skypark within Glasgow Riverside Innovation District, has been praised for its comprehensive support. Participants underwent company-building mentorship, refined their pitches, and honed their business strategies through a series of workshops and training sessions.

According to Adam Foulis, founder at Scotia Biotech: “The Infinity G programme for us has been transformative – not just from the financial resources, but from the corporate training, learning how to set up a company with the seven pillars, and the mentorship from STAC has been amazing. The network and connections available have been great – it’s hard to find a fault.”

The programme culminated in a Final Demo Day & Product Showcase, where the ventures presented their businesses to active investors, demonstrating their incredible transformation. Paul Wilson, CEO and co-founder of STAC, noted: “We partnered with the University of Glasgow to help founders validate their ventures, get ready to raise investment, win customers, and build great teams. Mission accomplished.” He also highlighted that several ventures are now ready to take the next steps towards global impact, with STAC excited to support their ongoing journey.

This achievement underscores the potential of Scotland to become a leading hub for deeptech innovation, creating job opportunities and solutions for positive change on a global scale. The Infinity G accelerator has been partly funded by the Glasgow City Council-UK Shared Prosperity Fund, further emphasising its role in fostering a vibrant tech ecosystem in Scotland.

Looking ahead, future cohorts are expected to benefit from this refined programme methodology, contributing to Scotland’s growing reputation as a hub for deeptech innovation and economic prosperity.

These fifteen pioneers are just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting new chapter in Scottish innovation.
