Fresh from being recognised at the 2025 Scottish Pharmacy Awards, an independent Highland pharmacy is now set to change the way NHS consultations are delivered across Scotland.
KinWell Pharmacy, an independent family-run business in Nairn, has launched Quick Care — a pharmacist-designed digital platform that improves the speed, privacy, and efficiency of Pharmacy First consultations.
First deployed in-store via confidential kiosks in October 2024 — and now available online — Quick Care allows patients to initiate consultations securely, even outside of pharmacy opening hours. The platform was developed entirely in-house under KinWell’s new tech venture, Cured Click.
“In just a few months, Quick Care has saved over 100 hours of staff time per month, improved consultation accuracy, and achieved a significant uplift in revenue through improved consultation data capture — all while delivering a better, more dignified patient experience,” said Mohsin Mian, Pharmacist and Director at KinWell Pharmacy.
Quick Care not only eases pressure on busy GPs and enhances Pharmacy First uptake but also ensures fully compliant consultation logging. Its privacy-first design — particularly the confidential kiosks — has proven vital in encouraging patients to seek help for sensitive issues. With the platform now rolling out to pharmacies across Scotland, Cured Click plans to extend availability to England later this year.
“We built Quick Care to solve a real-world problem in our own pharmacy. Now we’re helping others to do the same,” said Fahed Arshad, Director of Technology at Cured Click. “This is just the start of frontline pharmacy-led innovation.”
Cured Click will launch additional pharmacist-led digital solutions in 2025, including automated patient communications and digital medicine ordering tools.
