Aspire Technology Solutions, a prominent UK Cyber Security and Modern Workplace Managed Service Provider, has unveiled a pivotal development with the acquisition of Cloud Cover IT, a dynamic Managed Service Provider based in Glasgow.

THE acquisition positions Cloud Cover IT under the Aspire umbrella, and notably, its software development and business applications division will undergo rebranding as “Flyte.” This transformation is aimed at fortifying its position in the market and enhancing the array of business applications offered to its expanding customer base.

Chris Fraser, Founder and CEO of Aspire, expressed enthusiasm about this significant step: “Our acquisition of Cloud Cover IT marks a new and exciting chapter for both companies. This move will strengthen our presence in Scotland, positioning us in a thriving market.”

Lance Gauld, Founder and MD at Cloud Cover IT, highlighted the strategic alignment between the two entities: “This partnership is not merely a merger with a large IT company; it is a collaboration with a leading UK technology provider that understands us.

In its 17-year journey in the technology sector, Aspire has witnessed substantial growth, serving over 1,700 customers and nurturing a dedicated team of approximately 250 experts. With offices across the UK, including Gateshead, London, Leeds, and Teesside, Aspire has become synonymous with delivering cutting-edge solutions across various domains, such as cyber security, cloud services, managed solutions, connectivity, and unified communications.

Aspire, backed by private equity firm LDC, is gearing up for its next phase of expansion and innovation. The recent appointment of Tom Howard as Chief Financial Officer is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial strategy, facilitating organic growth, and steering the course through strategic acquisitions.
